What our employees say about Crayola
Marisa Scurato, Leader, Digital Marketing
Favorite crayon color: Purple Mountains' Majesty
Employee Tenure: 8 years
I joined Crayola in 2014 in a digital content role, but as we advanced our digital capabilities, I moved into a leadership position on the digital marketing team. Leading the digital team over the past 5 years, I've been fortunate to be at the helm of the company's advancement in the e-commerce space during such a transformative time. Each year, we engage our consumers in new and exciting ways, always striving to add value to their digital experiences. It's a pleasure to bring the color and joy of Crayola to the digital world.
In 2020, I helped start conversations to form an LGBTQ Employee Resource Group. That's been an exciting journey and it's been great to have leadership support.

"I love the culture here and the people I work with. I love that while working for Crayola I feel like I have work life balance which is super helpful while being a full-time mom & a part-time student. Having a 12-year-old and knowing that we are for kids speaks to my soul as a mother. I love all the volunteer opportunities we have, working with kids, teachers, and schools. My favorite volunteer events are always the ones with the kids. I just love seeing their little inquisitive minds and happy faces when they see/use our brand! Just knowing that I work for a company that makes a difference worldwide and being a part of that makes me feel like I’m making an impact."

"I enjoy working for Crayola because it aligns to my personal values. As an advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, I've been very pleased with the intentional efforts of our brand in this particular area. I am also a parent, artist, and educator which embodies the mission of our brand. I am able to bring my full self to work and able to lean into these various identities to support and advance my work at Crayola. Additionally, I LOVE my education team. It is truly humbling to work alongside such great minds every day! We are committed to advancing the brand in new and innovative ways to meet the needs of educators and students. Since joining Crayola, I have grown professionally and picked up new skills such as hosting a Crayola Education series, Creativity Tips and serving as “talent” on internal and external projects."

"I am able be involved in a plethora of challenges and improvements. It keeps me motivated, it develops me, and it allows me to build strong relationships. I’m involved in all facets of the business, and I absolutely love it. Crayola has always been so generous to me and given me opportunities and pushed me to become better every day. Also, Crayolians have a different energy - they have such a passion for the brand and for the work they do – it’s palpable."
