Three diverse children holding Crayola projects

At Crayola, our mission is to help parents and educators raise creatively-alive kids. To do this, we recognize and embrace the many things that make every child unique and create products and experiences as relevant for future generations as they have been for past and current generations.

We work every day to cultivate diversity and create a culture of inclusion – one that grows through sustained action, demonstrates care for every life experience, inspires new products and content, and builds a sense of belonging in which every employee can be their very best.

Crayola integrates diversity, equity, and inclusion into every aspect of its business, including hiring, supplier relationships, product development, and creating a welcoming work environment. We believe a diverse workforce provides a broad spectrum of ideas and perspectives and enables us to understand our consumers better.

Our cultural values guide how we treat each other, our communities, and how we conduct business:

  • We are mission driven. We are for all kids around the world and are driven by our purpose to help parents and educators raise creatively-alive kids.
  • We collaborate across all aspects of diversity, including race, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, abilities, geography, business function and thinking styles, among others.
  • We are transparent and encourage our employees to act with integrity and honesty.
  • We help each other and foster a giving spirit within our company and in the communities where we work and live.
  • We are brave and encourage our employees to be who they are and bring their best self to work every day.
  • We push forward and drive for results, staying firmly committed to our mission, values and goals.

Crayola sees a world where the inherent creativity of children is fully nurtured into adulthood, filling the world with more curiosity, imagination, joy, connections and fulfilled lives. That’s why we strive to create products, content, and experiences that allow children to represent themselves and the world fully and authentically through creativity and self-expression. We believe this commitment will have a positive impact on how children colorfully express themselves every day.

Crayola has six employee resource groups to bring Crayolians with common interests and experiences together to support each other. Employee resource groups also support business goals by providing insights into new markets, product development, and experiences. Our employee resource groups are:

  • CYP – Crayola Young Professionals for employees early in their career journey
  • EARTH – Promoting environmental awareness & responsibility
  • HOLA – Hispanic Outreach for Leadership & Awareness for Hispanic, Latinx and allies
  • MVERG – for active military, veterans, and allies
  • PRISM – People Representing Inclusivity & Supporting LGBTQ+ Minorities – For LGBTQ+ employees and allies
  • WIN – Women’s Interest Network – for women and allies
